How To: Look Cute In The Gym

Hey!

Last year I decided to go to the gym at least once a week to get more athletic. One of my New Year's resolutions (you can read my resolutions here) was to keep going like this and maybe visit the gym even more. I know I'm definitely not the only one who has 'go to the gym' in one of their new year's resolutions, because this resolution is preeetty popular (and easy to give up on)! The only trouble in the gym is, is when I sport intense and get sweaty and all I feel like I look like crap. The red face, the sweat.. it's not the way you would like to meet Prince Charming (and the gym is filled with hot guys). But when you wear the best sportswear, I swear all of those things won't even be looked at (but I gotta say, people really won't judge you if you look sweaty and red. It just shows how much of a sporty, and hard-working girl you are! ;)) I collected the best sportswear for you and created some outfits for inspiration! I also included some tips on how to reduce the red in your face, so read on if you're interested..

I really hope you all like these outfits (and if you don't: that's okay too) and have enough inspiration to look like the fabulous queen you are, even in the gym! Tip: try avoiding white clothing during exercise - it will make the red in your face less noticeable.

I got you guys some information about the redness in your face after exercising - and some tips on how you can reduce it a little bit. First of all, the red is completely normal after working out. It's your body's normal reaction. Also I get a really, really red face when I work out. I sometimes even wonder why my face is so much more red than other people's faces - which is probably totally not true.
When you exercise blood vessels carry more blood to the skin's surface, also your face's. The redness can be more noticeable on fair-skinned people. The red is nothing to worry about, unless you really think the redness is not just a part of the normal cooling-down process and you have some other symptoms (diarrhea, shortness of breath, palpitations, low blood pressure or light-headedness) you might consider being evaluated by your primary care physician.
Now what you've probably all been waiting for: tips on how to reduce the redness.
1. Try exercising in a cool environment
2. Wear light-coloured and loose-fitting clothing
3. Stay hydrated by drinking lots of water
4. Take some breaks to cool down during exercises
5. Scale down the intensity of the workout
